Objectives

comenius_regio_logoThe main aim of this project is to promote exchange and cooperation on entrepreneurial education in both Alessandria and Cartagena educational systems. Our target is pre-university students. We would like to promote the entrepreneurial culture through suitable training adapted to their age and school level. It is also our aim to teach them about local ICT initiatives based on entrepreneurship so that they can learn about the activities we do. This will encourage them to eventually open a business, be competitive and in doing so, awake in them the entrepreneurial spirit needed. The activities will include hands-on workshops and new ideas competitions to stimulate the required skills in an entrepreneur. The results will also enable other schools to benefit from the materials obtained from our training activities. The association between the two regions will allow us to share and extend good practice, thus enriching the whole process.

Main objectives:

–       Link up with another European region with the aim of improving the educational offer on entrepreneurship to young people.

–       Involve teachers and students in activities to promote entrepreneurship and create the required basis for other schools to benefit from them.

Topics and problems:

–       Self-employment and entrepreneurship.

–       Basic training on business models.

Focus to reach the objectives:

–       Education approach from the teacher’s training to the student’s involvement and commitment.

–       Trans – regional approach, from the point of view of Educational Region model transference.

–       Exchange of good practices.

–       Dissemination and exploitation of results at regional, trans – regional and European level.

–       High visibility events to ensure the impact in the general population.

To realise the fulfilment of the proposed objectives, the involved partners will develop a follow up, coordinated by the Town Council of Cartagena and Alessandria Province in both Regions, dating a coordination and follow up meeting (in each Region) every 2 months, during the project lifetime, in order to evaluate the development of the actions, the coordinated work between regions, etc…

The Project will give schools and other actors in education the opportunity to work together on topics of mutual interest.

It will help the participating regions to develop and exchange best practice, to develop sustainable cooperation across borders, to strengthen the European dimension in school education and to offer European learning experiences to teachers and pupils and administrators, facing the challenge of the new programming period.

In fact the “flag Initiative” of Mobility for young people will be one of the new EU focus to work on.

The University will train the teacher in the secondary schools. So, they will be able to disseminate the work they do. The teachers in the schools will learn from their training and the pupils will be able to put this knowledge into practise. The local education authority is concerned in the integral education of their citizens as well as in the new approach to entrepreneurship in early ages.

2.- The cooperation of both regions will benefit each other through experience sharing in their similarities and differences as well. We hope to enrich our point of view in the matter concerning this project, encourage pupils to step forward in the business world and broaden their minds at a European level. The workshops and competitions envisaged in this project, will help them achieve this aim as they will have to start up a business and even sell their products in Europe.

This entrepreneurial training is not a subject itself, but must be taken into consideration to educate young students to be able to have a better chance in their future working life and to build a common space for education and work environment.
